Would you like to introduce your son or daughter to the wonderful, exciting world of robotics? If so, now is your chance! The Muncie/Delaware Robotics Team, otherwise known as FIRST Robotics team 1720, the PhyXTGears, will host a level 1 EV3 LEGO workshop on October 29th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Suzanne Gresham Center in Muncie for fourth through eighth grade students. Cost is $35 per student. If a friend is brought, it is $30 for the friend.

During the workshop, students will design, build, and program a LEGO robot to preform certain tasks. Our robotics team students will instruct participants on how to assemble and program the LEGO robots, which will be provided by the team. Students should bring a packed lunch.

Past workshops have included lessons in making and programming robots to move distances, stop and turn around automatically to visual cues, and to stop at obstacles, such as the end of a table, autonomously.  Space is limited to the first 12 students to register with payment, so be sure to register early. Please check our facebook page for the sign up form. All registration forms are due by October 25th.

The Suzanne Gresham Center is located at 3620 W White River Blvd, in Muncie, IN, and you can register by emailing us at phyxtgears@gmail.com .  Please keep in mind that the participants will be photographed and video taped by the Muncie/Delaware Robotics Team and these photographs and video images may be used in team promotions and communications. P.O. box 218 Muncie, IN 47304.
