Over the weekend, we attended our first competition of the season. There, we enjoyed two lengthy-yet-fun days of matches. Our team did phenomenally well, placing first for most of the qualifying matches, however dropping down to third near the end. We were the 3rd seed alliance captains, getting the privilege to choose teams of our choice for our alliance. From there, we dominated quarterfinals and unfortunately got out during semifinals due to loss of communication among some of the robots in our alliance. We had a great time and we enjoyed the team-oriented environment and the chance to establish new friendships and to display our “coopertition” and gracious professionalism in all the things we did. We’re very satisfied with the results and we are excited for our next district competition at Tippecanoe!
